The article investigates modern stage of development of humanitarian scientific theory and deals with the concept of the anthropocentric paradigm. The author of the research analyzes the basic concept of cultural linguistics - "concept" - and its key importance for the methodology of teaching foreign languages. The researcher formulates new tasks of the methodology of teaching English as a foreign language in order to form a bicultural linguistic personality of a foreign student.
