This article is devoted to examining classical and contemporary approaches to the concept of political ideology, as well as the evolution of political ideologies in the modern and postmodern periods. The findings show that the concept of political ideology has been shaped throughout historical development in close connection with social, cultural, and political contexts. Whereas classical approaches often grounded ideology in ideal and universal principles, modern and postmodern approaches emphasize its pluralistic, contextual, and continuously evolving character.
