Abstract

Oral folk literature represents a system of genres distinguished by unique artistic expression. Particularly, the analysis of color imagery in songs that are closely connected with ancient worldviews and early perceptions of the relationship between the universe and humankind reveals the people’s wisdom, eloquence, and mastery of verbal art. In this respect, the folklore of kindred peoples is also remarkably distinctive. This article analyzes and systematizes examples related to colors in Kazakh folklore.
