GRAMMATICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL PHENOMENA IN THE POETRY OF ABDUL WAHHAB AL-BAYATI

Abstract

This research aims to study the linguistic and grammatical usage of one of the most prominent Iraqi poets in the modern era, so that his poetry would be an argument for adherence to grammatical and morphological rules. I adopted the descriptive approach, which is concerned with describing the grammatical phenomenon and applying it to the poetic text. Through it, the most important grammatical and morphological phenomena in Al-Bayati's poetry were extracted. One of the most important results that the research reached was that his poetry dealt with many grammatical and morphological phenomena, and his poetry did not contradict the grammatical and morphological rule. This is the reason for its consistency, and made his poetry popular among scholars of different literary, critical, rhetorical, grammatical, and morphological specializations
