Abstract

The topic of (women) is considered one of the most prominent topics that the writer Taha Hussein was interested in. He gave it great importance and used it as a mirror that reflects the development of customs and traditions in Egyptian society at that time, and presented the stages of women's liberation and integration into society and their involvement in practical, political and intellectual life. This study dealt with the image of women through his autobiographical books and some of his novels, including (Adeeb's novel, Duaa Al-Karawan's novel, and The Tree of Misery novel), which mentioned multiple images and diverse forms of women in the countryside, the city, and Europe, which represented a true reflection of his broad culture, psychological tendencies, and an effect of his experiences after his return from the mission. This study adopted the analytical descriptive approach to reach the image of women that the writer Taha Hussein saw.
