Abstract

The place of the Turkmens who lived in the geographical space between the Lower Amudarya and the Aral Sea, the common toponyms of the Uzbek, Kazakh, Karakalpak clans, their active participation in the ethnic processes in the western regions of Central Asia, in particular in the Aral Bay - Khorezm oasis, and the events that occurred in the Lower Amudarya and neighboring areas in the last Middle Ages. information on getting acquainted with ethnocultural processes on the example of Turkmen clans is given.
