Abstract

Sughd region occupies the northern part of the Republic of Tajikistan, which, according to historical data, includes the cities of Khojand, Ura-Tube (now Istaravshan), Penjikent, Kanibadam, Isfara, their districts and the eastern part of Upper Zarafshan. (Matcha, Falgar and Yagnob). Penjikent includes Oftobruya, Kishtut, Magiyan and Fan.
