Abstract

The article examines and analyzes the development of Internet linguistics, as well as the influence of media convergence on the linguistic features of the Internet environment in modern conditions. Particular attention is paid to the formation and approval of Internet linguistics as a new direction in linguistics, the research methods it uses, the terminological apparatus, Internet discourse, and the peculiarities of Internet communication.
