Abstract

Idioms, proverbs, axioms, adages, aphorisms, apothegms, among others are different forms of fixed expressions. These are very vital as they play essential roles in developing our general culture and enhancing interactions between different groups and communities. Translating these expressions is quite challenging and appears almost impossible. However, through an efficient use of techniques their translation is possible. Recapturing the spirit and the letter of this expression in the target language should be the guiding principle of their translation
