Abstract

This essay aims at history of museums, how the concept of museum appears, types of museums and some famous museums around the world. The article is organized into five sections: in the first, we will focus on the definitions of museum; in the second, we will highlight the history of museums in the world. Three concepts – International Council of Museums I.C.O.M. Furth section will be types of museums and the last part is about physical properties of the museum building with proper function
