Abstract

This comprehensive review explores the intricate relationship between lighting systems and the performance of laying hens, shedding light on their physiological, behavioral, and immunological responses. Acknowledging the pivotal role of light in avian reproduction, the study delves into its effects on ovary growth, follicle development, and, consequently, egg production. Optimal lighting conditions prove to be a crucial factor in maximizing poultry productivity and overall flock health. The article emphasizes the importance of understanding the intricate interplay of lighting duration, intensity, and spectrum in avian vision, elucidating how birds' unique visual apparatus responds to specific light wavelengths
