The difference in religion between spouses is considered one of the significant issues, especially in light of the growing interconnectedness of the world and the increasing desire among young people to travel and immigrate to other countries. This matter has garnered considerable attention in Islamic jurisprudence and various legal systems due to its implications for matters of personal status, such as marriage, divorce, custody, lineage, alimony, and inheritance. These legal and religious frameworks aim to establish specific regulations to govern relationships between individuals of different faiths in order to protect the family and society. Moreover, there is a pressing need to raise awareness among individuals regarding these legal and religious rules to reduce family disputes and avoid religious and legal complications—particularly considering that marriage is a bond that entails various consequences, including rights for women and children, which necessitate adequate protection.
