Abstract

The article discusses the emergence of a new generation of automation and telemechanics tools based on a microprocessor element base, which brought new requirements for determining reliability characteristics and safety indicators. A more reliable element base, the use of diagnostic tools and other measures lead to the fact that the probability of failures in new railway automation devices is less than in traditional relay devices.
