A CONTRASTIVE STUDY OF NULL CASE IN ENGLISH AND ARABIC SELECTED NOVELS

Case is the syntactic relationship between the NPs and their case assigners in a sentence. The case is divided into four types according to two categories. Syntactically, case has syntactic case and lexical case. Morphologically, it has abstract case and morphological case (Blake, 2004: 161).
