Abstract

The traditional system of knowledge transfer to students cannot meet the information needs of the individual. Therefore, in recent years, the modern school has become increasingly oriented towards an independent and critically thinking student who is able to see and creatively solve emerging problems. A key role in progressive school and pedagogical technologies is assigned to self-education as a process that ensures systematic and systematic replenishment of knowledge through independent work with information sources. The rapid growth of information resources contributes to increasing the requirements for the information culture of modern society. Some aspects of information culture are discussed in this article
