THE IMPACT OF STUDYING THE PYTHAGOREAN SPIRAL MODEL ON A SAMPLE OF SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS
Keywords:
Pythagorean SpiralAbstract
The study focuses on the use of the Pythagorean Spiral model to enrich the understanding of mathematical relationships between numbers and proportions, as well as how to visually represent them. The study demonstrated a significant improvement in the performance of students who acquired knowledge through this model compared to those who followed the traditional approach. The results indicate that teaching the Pythagorean Spiral can effectively enhance interest in mathematics and promote the development of students' mathematical skills. Several important conclusions were reached in the study, including the idea that studying the Pythagorean Spiral theory contributes to inspiring students and broadening their horizons in mathematics. Additionally, the study pointed out that expanding understanding through practical examples facilitates the overall growth of students in mathematics. The researcher explained that students have great potential for development if they can find the right methods to stimulate their abilities and engage them. Finally, the study highlighted that the mathematical methods used significantly contribute to providing students with a deep understanding of the Pythagorean theory and related concepts. To advance mathematics education, it is recommended to prioritize the use of modern teaching methods and implement curriculum adjustments that enhance student development in this vital field. Furthermore, students should be aware of the importance of mathematics in other scientific disciplines.
